Powering What Comes Next
Rising global energy demand, limited access in remote areas, and reliance on fossil fuels highlight the urgent need for better power solutions. Conventional systems are inefficient, batteries are heavy and costly, and clean energy remains expensive to scale. Combined with environmental concerns and logistical challenges, these issues underscore the need for
compact, efficient, and sustainable energy technologies.
Galleon Global Group is developing advanced power-generation technology for aerospace, defense, mobility, and distributed energy. Our focus is compact, intelligent, multi-fuel power designed for applications where efficiency, weight, reliability, and energy independence matter.

A New Approach to Power

We are developing a next-generation linear power system designed to deliver compact, efficient and fuel-flexible electricity for demanding applications. The architecture combines advanced combustion, electromagnetic generation, intelligent control, and simplified mechanics to pursue higher efficiency and power density in a compact platform.

Built for Demanding Missions
Lightweight, reliable power can transform unmanned aircraft, defense systems, auxiliary power, remote operations, and advanced mobility. The generator is being developed for applications where every kilogram of weight and liter of clean fuel matter.

Fuel Flexible by Design
Our innovative power generator is being engineered around a multi-fuel architecture with pathways for conventional and alternative fuels, including hydrogen. The goal is one adaptable power platform capable of supporting today's infrastructure while transitioning toward cleaner energy.

Intelligent Energy Conversion
Advanced sensing and real-time control are central to the architecture. G3 is developing an integrated system designed to coordinate piston motion, combustion, electromagnetic loading, and electrical generation as operating conditions change.

Efficiency Without Conventional Complexity
Direct linear generation eliminates many components associated with conventional rotary engines and generators. G3 is pursuing fewer moving parts, oil-free combustion concepts, lower maintenance, reduced fuel consumption, and cleaner operation.

Engineered to Be Proven
Development is progressing through digital engineering, simulation, component integration, and prototype testing. Each stage is designed to turn technical assumptions into measurable engineering evidence and progressively reduce risk.

Our Team

Ovi Popescu
Chief Executive Officer
Ovi Popescu is the Founder and CEO of Galleon Global Group, bringing more than two decades of leadership experience across the public and private sectors. His background spans aerospace, economic development, infrastructure, international business, technology commercialization, and complex public-private initiatives. He earned a B.A. in Business Administration from California State University, San Bernardino.
Throughout his career, Mr. Popescu has worked at the intersection of business, government, and innovation, with significant exposure to the aerospace and aviation industries. He has helped bring together technical specialists, private companies, investors, government agencies, and strategic partners to advance ambitious projects from initial concept toward execution. His strengths include recognizing promising opportunities, assembling talented multidisciplinary teams, securing resources and partnerships, and creating practical pathways for complex technologies to reach the market.
Driven by a lifelong passion for technology, aerospace, and clean energy, Mr. Popescu established Galleon Global Group to pursue innovative solutions to major energy and mobility challenges. Today, he leads G3’s development of advanced power-generation technology designed to deliver lightweight, efficient, fuel-flexible, and deployable electrical power. His role is to define the vision, guide the development strategy, build the engineering and scientific team, advance the company’s intellectual property, secure investment and validation partnerships, and move the technology toward commercialization.
Mr. Popescu has devoted significant attention to studying hydrogen production and its potential use in aviation, recognizing both the promise of clean fuels and the need for more efficient ways to convert them into usable power. Through this work, he identified a timely opportunity to innovate in power generation as advancements in real-time control, combustion science, electromagnetic machines, power electronics, advanced materials, and electrified systems began converging. This insight helped shape G3’s pursuit of a new generation of compact, intelligent, and fuel-flexible power systems capable of supporting aviation, defense, remote operations, and the broader transition toward cleaner energy.

Phil Hodge
Chief Technology Officer. Co-Founder
Phil is a seasoned corporate executive with a deep technical background that directly supports G3’s product-development mission. With degrees in Physics and Economics, he combines systems thinking, engineering judgment, manufacturing discipline, financial understanding, and commercialization experience. His career spans electronics, microelectronic subsystems, computer-controlled devices, medical diagnostics, chemical systems, aerospace, defense, and industrial manufacturing—providing a strong foundation for guiding complex technologies from concept through validation and production.
Phil spent ten years as Chief Engineer at Beckman Instruments, where he developed and produced medical diagnostic equipment, computer-controlled devices, and microelectronic subsystems for military and industrial applications. He later founded Intelligent Connections Corporation and served as its Chief Operating Officer, helping lead the company through its acquisition by AVX Corporation, now part of Kyocera.
Through a decade-long technical consulting partnership, he also supported semiconductor organizations including Motorola, National Semiconductor, and Intel, and designed and manufactured control electronics for Xerox. His broader experience working with Northrop, Teledyne, Dow Chemical, and other major companies has given him practical insight into performance, reliability, quality, supplier coordination, and production requirements across highly demanding markets.
At G3, Phil applies this experience to evaluating technical viability, refining design alternatives, guiding component and system decisions, identifying development and manufacturing risks, and translating engineering objectives into an executable commercialization plan. His additional work in strategic planning, high-performance teams, organizational systems, risk assessment, business planning, and financial management strengthens G3’s ability to align engineering progress with capital requirements, production readiness, and measurable milestones. This combination of technical depth, operational leadership, and successful commercialization experience makes him an important contributor to G3’s goal of developing advanced power-generation technology into a reliable and market-ready product.
